AI for Your Projects, Time and Team

Ask TrackPM answers questions about your work in plain language and handles everyday actions — after you confirm. AI Agent Access connects the AI assistant you already use to TrackPM over MCP.

Ask TrackPM

Ask your workspace anything

Click Ask TrackPM in the header and type a question the way you'd ask a colleague. It looks up the answer in your company's TrackPM data — time logs, tasks, leave, staff and payments — and replies in seconds, without building a report.

  • “How many hours did the team log on Project Alpha last week?”Time report
  • “Which leave requests are still pending?”Leave
  • “Show my open tasks in the website redesign project”Tasks
  • “How many casual leaves do I have left?”Leave balance
  • “What payments are due this month?”Billing
  • “Create a task to fix the login bug in Project Alpha”Asks you to confirm

What it can answer

  • Time reports by person, project and date range
  • Your projects and tasks, and task search across projects
  • Leave balance, leave categories and pending leave requests
  • Today's tracked time and your team's staff list
  • Due payments for your TrackPM account
  • For admins: custom reports across company data — counts, totals and group-bys

What it can do — after you confirm

  • Create and update tasks, and apply for leave — for everyone
  • Approve or reject leave, add holidays, manage staff, assets, support tickets and expenses — for admins
  • Set salary structures, apply increments and generate payroll — for the account owner

Ask TrackPM never changes data on its own: it shows the change, and runs it only when you press Confirm or reply “yes” (“no” or Cancel drops it).

You stay in control

Proposed changes expire after 15 minutes, run at most once, and are cancelled if you send another message.

Respects roles

Staff see their own work; admins report across the company; payroll stays with the account owner. Always your company's data only.

Built on Claude

Runs on Anthropic's Claude models with a monthly allowance by plan — or save your company's own Claude API key.

AI Agent Access

Connect any AI agent to TrackPM with MCP

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI apps use to work with other software. TrackPM runs an MCP server, so the assistant you already use — Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP-compatible client — can read and update your TrackPM work for you.

  1. Generate a key. In TrackPM, open the profile menu → AI Agent Access, name your key (e.g. "Claude Desktop") and generate it. Copy it straight away — it is shown only once.
  2. Add TrackPM to your AI app. Paste the TrackPM MCP server URL and your key into your MCP client's settings — Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor or any other MCP-compatible app.
  3. Ask your agent to work. "Create a task for the API review in Project Alpha", "Apply leave for next Friday", "Show today's tracked time" — the agent calls TrackPM for you.

TrackPM shows the server URL with your new key. The exact place to paste it depends on your AI app — look for its MCP or connectors settings.

What your agent can do in TrackPM

Projects & tasks

List, create and update projects and tasks; delete them if your role allows.

Time & leave

Today's time summary, leave balance and categories, and leave applications and approvals.

People & office

Add, update or deactivate staff, manage holidays, inventory and asset assignments (admins).

Payroll, expenses & reports

Generate payroll, review expenses, check due payments and run custom data queries (admins and owners).

Personal, scoped and revocable

Every key belongs to one person and acts with that person's role, inside their own company only. Keys are shown once and stored only as a hash. You can see when each key was last used, and revoke or delete it at any time — your agent loses access immediately.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Ask TrackPM?
Ask TrackPM is the AI assistant built into TrackPM. Open it from the header, ask a question in plain language — about time logged, tasks, leave, staff or payments — and it answers from your company's TrackPM data. It can also create or update records, but only after you confirm the change.
Can Ask TrackPM change my data without asking?
No. Ask TrackPM can only propose a change. It runs only when the person who asked confirms it — with the Confirm button or by replying "yes". A proposal expires after 15 minutes, runs at most once, and is cancelled if you send any other message. Role checks are repeated when the change runs.
What can each person see in Ask TrackPM?
Ask TrackPM follows TrackPM's roles. Staff members see their own projects, tasks, time and leave; admins can also report across the company and approve leave or expenses; payroll actions are limited to the account owner. Everything is limited to your own company's data.
Which AI model powers Ask TrackPM, and is there a usage limit?
Ask TrackPM runs on Anthropic's Claude models. Each company gets a monthly usage allowance based on its plan, with a daily question limit per person. A company can instead save its own Claude API key, in which case Anthropic bills it directly and TrackPM's monthly allowance doesn't apply (the daily per-person limit still does).
What is AI Agent Access in TrackPM?
AI Agent Access lets you connect your own AI assistant to TrackPM through MCP (Model Context Protocol), the open standard AI apps use to call external tools. Once connected, an assistant like Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Cursor can read and update your TrackPM projects, tasks, leave and time on your behalf.
Which AI apps can connect to TrackPM?
Any MCP-compatible client — for example Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Cursor. You add TrackPM's MCP server URL and your personal key to the app's MCP settings.
Is AI Agent Access secure?
Each key is personal: it acts as you, with your role's permissions, inside your company only. Keys are shown once, TrackPM stores only a hash of them, and you can see when a key was last used and revoke or delete it at any time from AI Agent Access. Admin-only actions return a permission error for other roles.
